Amanda Tinkleman, MD

Amanda Tinkelman, MD was named a Rising Star by the New York Times in their Top Doctors edition (2016-2019). She previously served as Associate Director of Adult Ambulatory Services as well as the Physician in Charge of Perinatal Programs at Northwell Health’s Zucker Hillside Hospital, where she helped to grow robust clinical perinatal psychiatry programs. She also previously served as the Medical Director of Community Counseling Services of West Nassau, an OASAS substance abuse clinic, as well as the Regional Medical Director of Brooklyn Minds.

Dr. Tinkelman is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine. She has served as an instructor for the Perinatal Psychopharmacology portion of the Postpartum Support International certificate course, and has presented numerous lectures at PSI’s annual conferences, as well as in local Grand Rounds and CME/CEU granting forums on perinatal mental health, including the treatment of perinatal substance use disorders.
